Sweet n Savory

My husband likes to decorate his own food.

The premade cinnamon buns from Arcangeli make for a great French toast when you soak them in egg and buttermilk!

I also made an omelette with padron peppers, tomatoes, onions, Maytag blue cheese and green chili. Split it in half and served on a little bed of arugula and basil with balsamic and olive oil so we could get our day going without feeling overly full. 😉

We are driving for a few hours to pick up some truck things. I am not super excited about sitting in a car driving in hot weather, but I was promised antique shop stops along the way!

Here is a website that helps me plan routes with just that in mind! (I truly love the Internet.) Many antique shops are open at odd hours, sometimes with very limited days of operation. This is a good start, and usually, there are more along the routes, but generally near one another.
