I first sharpened the Damascus knives for slicing sashimi.


Made taco (octopus) salad (sunomono).


I’m all about sauces! The base for a ginger salsa includes: soy and vinegar, warmed in a sauce pot, flavored with bonito (dried fish) flakes and strained. Chop red onion/ ginger, and add chopped shiso leaf right before serving.



This is what wasabi root looks like AND costs. Yes, you read the price tag correctly!


I love that it’s still growing in the container!


I pan fried nappa cabbage so it would be a warm salad, served some fresh guacamole on the side. Fusion food at its finest!
